Dafremen All Leo people are impulsive, fearless and courageous, as they are of that peculiar turn of mind which enables them to achieve their goal, no matter how dangerous the perils might be.

Let impulse be coupled with their inborn courage and determination and they rush on to alarming extremes, unmindful of cost or consequences. Their quick intuition and remarkable insight, however, may intervene or check their rashness before it is too late.

These people are possessed of highly emotional natures as well as vigor, buoyancy and excellent health. A commanding nature, sound judgment, a generous and magnanimous manner make Leo people natural rulers and leaders.

They have an indomitable will power that enables them to pull through or extract themselves from many trying circumstances. Napoleon Bonaparte and Richmond Pearson Hobson, whose lives were filled with many daring deeds, were born under this influence. Impulse plays a greater part in the lives of people of this sign than possibly any other sign in the Zodiac. They do many things on the spur of the moment, many of which they soon regret. Their impetuosity often causes them to change their positions, make bad investments and frequently gets them into heated arguments; in fact, they are impulsive in every sense of the word.

Dafremen Certainly. Of course, assuming that you are an Aquarian, you won't mind if I surprise you by blathering it someday when you least expect it. Aquarians love surprises...although usually when they are the perpetrators. 020927

Dafremen Almost all Leos have a mysterious and magnetic attraction to cats. One of the wisest, most noble, and deserving-of-worship Leos I know often says, wistfully, "Kitties are the only good things." My own half-wild Colorado kittens peacefully and purringly allow him to trim their toenails. They would scratch out the eyes of anyone else who tried. I guess all cats understand and trust one another, whether paired in Nature's jungle, the shed in the backyard, or in the astrology zoo.

As a team, Leos offer each other no less than they offer the rest of us -- fierce protection from enemies, plus an unsurpassed loyalty and devotion. These two possess between them all the necessary qualities for an enduring friendship. In fact, friendship far beyond the ordinary definition of the word is a common trait of the Big Cats, whose symbolic feline counterparts imitate the Leonine loyalty (as well as Leonine self-sufficiency and cool dignity). Both kinds of cats are capable of heroic sacrifice and hardship in the name of friendship, love, or a sacred trust -- a sort of persistent devotion that belies their reputation for snobbish superiority complexes and domineering ways.

In the fifteenth century, a loyalist to the Lancastrian party, Sir Henry Wyatt, was condemned to prison by King Richard III. Somehow, a curious pussycat found her way into his dark, damp cell, and an intense friendship developed between the two. The man's suffering from cold and hunger would have been unbearable but for the daily visits of his loyal friend, the cat, who brought along a morsel of food for him to eat as often as she could. Since cats are, by nature, comfort-loving creatures, an affectionate attachment to the prisoner was clearly her only motivation, Sir Henry's cell being anything but a warm, cozy, inviting hearth. All Leos have within them the potential of such loyalty and nobility in human relationships.

Time and time again, cats have been known to risk great danger and endure extreme hardship by journeying hundreds, even thousands, of miles to be reunited with loved one from whom they were somehow separated--and the human Leonine Big Cats are capable of the same magnitude of sacrifice and persistence in reuniting with the one once loved, however seemingly insurmountable the obstacles between them may be. Despite a certain annoying air of smugness and aloof independence, the cat is a strange and marvelous creature--both kinds. If you don't believe me, just ask one! Leo is seldom hampered by modesty or self-effacement.

Dafremen DISCLAIMER: As anyone who knows me is aware, I'm not into young folks doing stupid sh*t because they think they WANT each other in a loving way. Love comes with time and trial by fire and I think sex is just a stupid, shallow experience without love. Please hold off and get to know someone WELL before you decide to get sexually intimate with them. Knowing them well means seeing them at THEIR WORST within the confines of a romantic relationship as well as at their most attractive and enticing. It means knowing each other over the course of many months or, more likely, over the course of years. Sex without REAL love is like two people agreeing to be sex tools, objects for each other's mutual masturbations. Ok, enough of the disclaimer and the lecture...on to the good stuff. Daf

Sweeping caresses over the back and spine sexually stimulate and excite Leo. An easy and enjoyable preliminary is to sponge Leo's back in the bath with a loofah sponge. Work gently down along the spine, pausing in the small of the back, then circle out to the sides and the ribs. Sponge until Leo's skin is rosy. In the bedroom, while Leo lies on his or her stomach, shake talcum powder over the back (still tingling from the bath).
Using your hands or a soft bristle brush, smooth the powder into the skin, paying particular attention to the spine and small of the back. Your Leo will be more than ready for love.

girl_jane I'm dating a leo. One of my favorite things to do is scratch his back, because once I start, he just leans foward and goes limp. "I think I was genetically coded to love back scratches," is what he said one night.

A while ago we were watching a Bjork video, and she was talking a bubble bath. I made the comment that that's one of the things I missed most about being home...bubble baths. So he told me that I was more than welcome to take one there.

He worked a double shift today. I'm thinking that I'm going to take him up on the offer of the bubble bath, and invite him to join me-sitting Pretty Woman style leaving his back open to me...

Ouroboros Weaknesses: flattery, rich foods, back scratching (!), impulse buys, hold on too long to relationships that don't work, taking people at their word. 120124

srealismas not make believe "As a team, Leos offer each other no less than they offer the rest of us -- fierce protection from enemies, plus an unsurpassed loyalty and devotion. read that one carefully for the group-Leos, or partner-Leos phenomenon.

Leos are generous. They redistribute resources, sometimes to even to themselves (that can honestly be too shocking, i know) They will also show quite a bit of infidelity in relationship, even with each other.

Stick-to-it-ive-ness is not Leo. Taking in energy and using it to strengthen you is, and sometimes, that can look like that flattery thing. As long as you're giving it out again, you're good.

I have an honesty thing and if people are not being honest with me, somehow, i'm not kind to them. that's not just the Leo, it's a combination of things (why pretend to be staring at a person's Sun at all moments?) but the Leo does bring strength, energy, fuel, pride to that personality characteristic. Leo is well aware that it suffers from insecurity, probably too much since it doesn't have the footing of another sun sign to rely upon. Leo always feels this deficit and naturally displays compensatory behavior, and is generous to others who also find it necessary to use it. in a lot of cases what you see is what you get with a Leo, and that's not always a bad thing. numerologically speaking this is also true in my case (why pretend to talk about Leos when I'm mostly talking about myself, hrmm?)

i guess people talk about two-timing Leos, but that's the shame piled on for infidelity. i'm not saying infidelity shouldn't be controlled and is wonderful or anything, it's just that when there's energy, there's energy. one can't live in darkness for all time, unfortunately.

bring in Saturn for fidelity. i guess the bad news is God doesn't want anybody to do everything.

unhinged the loyalty has always been strongly attractive to me. the stubbornness/superiority/entitlement that some exhibit especially among my siblings, not so much.

but some of the most important people in my life especially men, including my brother, have been lions. The majestic beauty and protective nature of a pack of large cats has always pulled me in.

many don't handle constructive criticism and/or conflicting views well.

Ouroboros I work hard to not be completely dismantled by criticism. 120125
...
srealisma (new day) I'm sorry if that came off as at all critical, Ouroboros. It wasn't meant to be. (i guess apart from my defense of astrology as something that is mostly a study of paradoxes and things that combine to form unknowns which resist almost all attempt at simplified generalization. although, i can see where there might be a segment of the libra plutos generation (of which i am a part) that would prefer to get on with things, sometimes, and take what i would consider to be the shortcut of generalizing according to sun sign.... i must wish that people would know themselves well enough that they know why they are in it for that (not for me to judge it, but for me to understand where they are coming from) at its worst, it feels to me like false objectivity and stereotype, that is, when it becomes inflated beyond its true dimension....)

and you know i am worried about Burning Man, so. there is reason to think that we are not actually friends. no, i don't think you should trust me that much. not "not at all" but definitely you should have your discerning sensors up when it comes to whatever i have to say about archetype and theory and all that stuff i wish i had the moolah to go learn and talk to real people about and all the boons you certainly should protect-a-lot. not from me, just, ummm ermm, in general.

i think i am doing some sort of stupid cover my bases training wheels thing, this life. If it seems dumb and a half, and i should have a man-person and a kid, well all i know is people (including myself) can be pretty stupid. Gotta either learn to a) avoid them or b) somewhat codependently teach them not to be not-the-smartest. God/gestalt requires to be either/or/both when i start to have a problem making progress. (see? extravert. that's not the self-sufficient introverted way of seeing things.) I'm pretty certain I really never get to have the choice which one (a, b, both) it's supposed to be.

God, angels, intuition, loss of humanity, it sure is something. It can get so big (simpsons, harry potter), too, but I've also learned to merely throw it down, it's just that there's not much else to turn to. in terms of a chart and also in terms of life in general. oh yeah, right, i just remembered that there was a show tonight that i mighta wanted to have gone to.
