birdmad "blurring the edges" is in based in part on some of my own experiences as well as a few things sprung from the recesses of my imagination.

I went with the adage to "write_what_you_know"

I also figured that this could be an interesting experiment in trying to use that most unwieldy thing known as second_person_narrative in addition to motivating me to come up with the bridging material to close out my other main writing project.

I have, in various incarnations, a manuscript of a novel i have been trying to finish since right around the time i got out of high-school. 200 pages into the re-write, i call that project Left_of_Center (from a Suzanne Vega song that i thought fitting when i started writing it)

The Alex character is the key figure in both stories. The contrivance in that project is that Alex is the narrator as it is his story and he is becoming increasingly, neurotically self-aware.

In Blurring the Edges, Alex almost literally has to be reminded by his own head what is going on around him.

Meanwhile, there is more blurring to come.
