tourist Riding my Bicycle back from the corner Beer merchant with the second six-pack hooked in my left hand, dangling from the handlebars, I accidentally downshift while peddling downhill.
The sudden change in torque caused my foot to slip off in front of the pedal to the pavement where friction stopped it. When the pedal struck the back of my ankle the inertial forces caused the beer and handlebar to move forward,
turning Me sharply to the right into the curb, stopping the bike but not me.
I dived down into the ground smacking my right knee on the curb, scraping my right knuckles and kissing the grass hard, biting my lip.
Getting up slowly, checking to see if all My parts were working discovered that the Beer had Survived.
I climbed back up and Coasted on home.
This has to have been a couple of months ago. My lip and knuckles healed right up, but I think I Fractured a small bone on the side of my right hand and so I wore an Elastic support for about three weeks till it quit bothering me. My knee seemed O K after a few days, until I re-injured it somehow by turning suddenly, I suspect I cracked My knee-cap a little, so I'm wearing one of those elastic supports for a while.
The weird thing is that once the first injuries healed I noticed a numbness in my left hand, my ring and pinky finger. They still respond to commands, but the sensory imput is cranked way down low, like I'm wearing a glove, or they have slipped into another Dimension.
