sweetheart of the song tra bong I finally got there.

In Ohio, of all places, I was staying with cousins and they were playing nearby, so we went to Blossom and rocked out with eleven guys from Buffalo who knew all the words

It was good to be surrounded by real fans. My cousin was slightly a drag because she only knew "Island in the Sun" which we blasted for the half-hour there and back, bouncing in our seats, reaching our hands out the windows and the sunroof. Other cars (blaring Buddy Holly or El Scorcho or Only in Dreams) pulled up next to us and the drivers stretched out their hands to give me high-fives.

Nothing beats a flaming =W=

Kate Tracee and I saw them at Blossom, too... my first real concert. Too bad the Strokes weren't there. Dashboard played 3/4 of the So Impossible EP which I loved, and she and I just sat there singing along. We didn't even have to look hard to find the three of them, they were all there, but you weren't, and I was looking for you and hoping that Weezer would play "Only in Dreams" for me, but they didn't, but they did play a great set and we nearly died when the big W came up from the drumset. We walked the long way to parking lot E where we were to meet my mother but couldn't find her, for she had parked really close instead, so we walked back along the main exit road and waved and shouted to those who shouted at us. A Blossom worker eyed us curiously and told us that the show was over, no kidding, and wanted to know why we were walking in. The whole time we checked ourselves so that we wouldn't be too highschoolish. 020730

kerry this was my first ever weezer show. i dont really like dashboard_confessional but we weren't there for all of their set, so when weezer was finally ready to play, jackie and emily and i went to see if there were empty seats we could take. the lights dim and i'm running down the aisle and i start to sob, which made me feel like SUCH a loser. anyways, rivers says, "hey peeps" and then i hoist myself up on the railing just as the intro to "Pink Triangle" kicks in, and boy i was a gonner, sobbing nonstop. it was just amazing, even though we had to move back [orders of the quite unfriendly security guard]. i guess it was so emotional because i love them so much, so tremendously even though their current videos on mtv make me pretty angry, and the fact that they are actually real people, 75 feet from me, really got to me. 020730
