Twitch Is that what everyone wants to hear? That this is just another phase of being a teenager. It doesn't matter. Biology is a marvelous thing. The emotions I feel may be mere chemicals, but how beautiful they are! So beautiful that I don't care to define it as such. 060927

Wasandru This isn't the first time, Twitch, that you've triggered serotonin and dopamine reactions within me, thereby causing my facial orifice - specifically, the one used for primary digestion - to turn upwards at the edges, in the manner once termed "smiling". 060928
...
Twitch Yes, I'm highly aware of that Wasandru. I'm simply analyzing my current situation outloud and fighting off the obvious. I'm afraid that I feel rather shallow when I admit that my strongest emotions are all caused by various chemical proccesses. Perhaps I want control, and feel as though the chemicals have more control over "me" than I do them (even if my identity is largly molded from my chemical composition.) 060928
...
Wasandru Maybe you can change your chemical composition by changing the way you think about your identity. It is a question of_freewill, I_suppose. 060928
...
Twitch But then that is to say that there is something in my that is not dictated to by chemicals...and what is that?

Could I love someone with whatever that is?

Wasandru Twitch, looking at yourself as a mere pile of chemicals is like looking at your favorite song as merely a bunch of dots on a staff. You are greater than the sum of your parts. As stated at "soul", if there is something greater to you than your physical self, would you really be able to find a corresponding organ? Of course not. The ethereal is not evidenced physically. This doesn't address the question of_freewill, of_course. 060928
