I bought this snail for my aquarium last night. He's an apple snail about as big as my fist and well, he needs a name and I figured you all could help me with some ideas!

I thought of Gary when I first saw this subject, but I like Frenchie's idea of
"hors d'oeuvre" even better.
I think it's fun to give pets whimsical names;names that make you smile or make someone think of how the pet got that name. My brother once had this fish that had these huge bulging eyes that actually looked like breasts in a weird sort of way. So I named her "pam" after Pam Anderson. hehe! I also named the lizard he had "poly ester", because her skin felt like that. :D

Well, the snail (which i have come to find out is female) is named Betty (she just seemed like a Betty for some reason) and she is doing great! She no longer afraid of me so I can hand feel her. It's so cool!
