Piso Mojado often times i am overwhelmed by the absolute uniqueness of everyone i know.

other times i wish people would do the assigned reading before yakking away in seminar.

overall i need to get off campus and into a)olympia or b)the woods a bit more often

a thimble in time I like it here. The air is fresh like snow, and so are the people. I'm happy I came. 050221

a thimble in time This morning Ilearned what "shade grown" is...

Standing in line for coffee, I felt a bit embarassed because I didn't bring my own coffee mug (like the lanky Evergranarian girl who was kind enough to explain that "shade grown" does not mean that the coffee was literally grown in the shade...)

Yeshiva was kind of like this, everyone was really into it and I was slacking off...

But once I saw other people using disposable coffee cups, I felt a bit more relaxed.

I really loved the Tibetan burrito I had for breakfast. Very satiating.

Piso Mojado we call ourselves 'greeners'

i think the peer pressure you think you feel is all your own creation. evergreen is accepting of everyone- dont feel that you are not fitting in.

while at burning man, i was given a pouch with these words inside. i think they apply to your time here as well:

skinny this sounds like a great place to be

unfortunately i go to night school and that doesn't leave many options for college except for technical school. i'm wondering if being white and living in a georgia redneck mountain town would have a kind of like affirmative action effect. i would have a kick ass gpa and sat scores and i could write a good essay...

a thimble in time skinny,

this is a great school
I would have been better off going here than going to B. university

the people here are giving and friendly

there is a sense of community

feeling like you belong and that you are part of something greater than yourself is the coolest feeling in the world

My advice, if you care for it-
wherever you decide to go, choose a place with a sense of community

Dr Kensington College boys and hormones and beer and pranks and slacking off and eternal youth in the evergreen fields of some generic American university. Mmmm, wish I was some lucky cheerleader. 050427

i want to discuss the book that i spent hours reading and rereading

Ouroboros this college has shown me how to think for myself, how to recognize my own judgmental, dichotomous thinking patterns, how to be responsible for my own actions and decisions, and how to learn from everyone and every moment. 060603

the scrutinizer used to be such a lovely town. i grew up there, attended K-12 there. the year I moved away, 1991, things of the city moved in. home depot, walmart, mcdonalds, rush hour, traffic lights, 4-lanes, hotels, and even a round-about.

it is not the same place i once knew. i visit often. the town is now populated by the pretentious, holyer-than-thou, the affluent, i loathe them. they allow development of every vacant inch of land available and unavailable. they now have a police force, known speed traps, crime. the mid-eighties influx of the yuppie set started it all.
