misstree the only thing more frustrating than having a horribly low-quality digital camera is not having one at all.

every picture must be perfectly poised or it is blurry. it hates when things are not brightly lit, refusing to acknowledge but the brightest colors, but it had best not be direct sunlight level, or it will consider everything white instead of black. when it does manage the middle colors it lacks the vibrancy i took for granted in my last camera. even the flash, powered by poor little triple-a's, is a source of frustration.

but i have little things, little pictures, and some of them come out well enough that i can say yes, i am proud of that, and if it's not as many as i like because one has to stand between 5'3" and 5'9" away for the flash to properly expose, well, at least i have a camera.

there is a very passionate flip side of this love/hate relationship, but i'm too pissed at my camera for a couple of recent shots to explore it right now.
