the jazz standard does look awesome. and there's an ensemble with a vibraphonist playing when i'll be there! (which is from june 25-30.) the only problem is that it's a tad pricy, but we'll see. thanks for the info!

i just looked to see what the jvc festival was, and roy_haynes is playing the DAY before i get there! oh man, oh man oh man oh man...he is one of my two favourite jazz drummers ever.
grr oof blarg. blarg_and_a_HALF. :(
anyway, for some great drumming, i HIGHLY recommend seeing him.
