Sol I have read almost, if not all his books, this by far 'wins' in my opinion
love in the time of cholera' is the story of his parents (or grandparents, i cant remember) courting. all the others kind of weave into 100 years, it contains bits of them all.

marquez mark is I don't know if I should pray or not. God is raining down on me. As summer approaches my chest tightens. We'll see what happens when the day arrives.

We'll see.

epitome of incomprehensibility Oh yay, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I should get around to reading this sometime. I liked his story "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings". It reminds me a bit of the beginning of The Satanic Verses, which I'm supposedly doing a project on. 061221

saigboiaerjgoaeirjgsdpobjpsatgbj I was amazed that so many people who disdain mysticism in their day-to-day lives were captivated by this book's unapologetic use thereof. 061221

Captain Obvious and The Perceptions it may be that subtle but imperceptible difference between DEPIICTIONS of mysticism as entertainment and mysticism as, oh, A DESIGN FOR LIVING 061221

saigboiaerjgoaeirjgsdpobjpsatgbj That's just it. For some, it is valid design for living (at least in part), but bad reading material. For others, it is great reading material but bad design for living. Can it really be that one is wrong and the other right? 061221
